Denise Bufford, LMSW

I am a licensed Master Social Worker. I received my Master in Social Work from The University of Texas at Arlington. I am currently working towards my LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) under supervision with Tiffany Flores-LCSW-S.

I work with children (ages 3 to 12) and adolescents (ages 13 to 18). I provide individual and family counseling; this includes adults (ages 19 and older). Over the last fourteen years I have worked with children and families from diverse populations in various capacities.

My clinical interest include depression, parenting, family conflict, trauma survivors, k-12 school related behavior issues, anger management, self-esteem, and family/intimate partner violence.

Theological approaches utilized include, but are not limited to, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused Therapy, and Mindfulness.

It is my goal to support clients by encouraging and educating them as they work to recognize their strengths and use those talents to achieve desired outcomes. I strive to create an environment where clients can feel comfortable, affirmed and valued, while being non-judgmental, non-bias, and culturally competent.
