Mallory Vernier, LCSW

My name is Mallory Vernier. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work (BSW) from Texas Tech University and a Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from the University of Texas at Arlington. While in my undergraduate social work program, I gained experience in end of life care through Accolade Hospice. For my MSW Program, I concentrated in Mental Health and Substance Abuse and gained experience working with adults in addiction services through MHMR of Tarrant County.

I have experience working with both adults and children. I have worked in the school system for 5, going on 6 years. For the first 4 years, I was directly working with students and families as a Program Manager for Communities In Schools (CIS). I provided case management services as well as supportive guidance in individual and group settings for elementary aged students. Currently, I am a Program Director for CIS and have a team of Social Workers that I supervise who provide services to their students and address school staff concerns about students.

I have a strong interest in children and adults and their mental and emotional wellbeing. I would really like to help people work through problems in a therapeutic way in both individual and group settings.  I believe that therapy can be a very overwhelming but positive experience for clients. I would like to provide a safe environment for clients to work on growth and the skills they need to live their healthiest life.
