Kinley Springs, LMSW
Hello, hello! My name is Kinley, and I am originally from Mississippi. I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Mississippi State University (Go Bulldogs!). I moved to the great state of Texas two years ago, and I am a recent graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington where I received my Master’s degree in Social Work with an emphasis in mental health and substance abuse.
I am a Licensed Master Social Worker working towards a clinical license under the supervision of Dr. Norman Cobb, LCSW-S. I have had the opportunity to intern with Starfish Counseling under the supervision of Tiffany Flores, LCSW-S just as COVID-19 began. The pandemic has shifted how healthcare services are received; however, I would love to be able to partner with you either in-person or via telehealth as you work through life’s issues.
I have a passion for prevention and early childhood intervention. I also enjoy working with adolescents, young adults, and women. It is my belief that the foundation of a therapeutic relationship begins with trust, openness, and empathy. I deeply value the relationships I build with my clients. Beginning therapy may not be the easiest; however, in developing a positive relationship, teaching coping skills, utilizing clinically proven techniques, and allowing a judgement-free space for clients to be themselves, it is my hope that healing can begin. From one human trying to figure out this so-called thing called life to another, I would be honored to hear your story. Thank you for checking out my page, and I look forward to meeting you soon!
