Jewel Weah, LPC

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I received my Bachelors in Community Psychology at St. Cloud State University, MN and my Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy at Saint Mary's University of Minnesota. For the last 7 years, I've worked with children ages 5-18 as a school-based therapy provider. I've also worked with adults struggling with mood disorders, trauma, self-esteem, in community based mental health and outpatient therapy.

My theoretical approach includes Person Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. My theoretical approach is tailored around the presenting problems of each client to allow for individualized therapy.

My specialty includes, anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions and adjustments, stress, relationship concerns, and parent-child relationships.

I work with clients ages 17 and up. I provide individual counseling, parent-child counseling and couples counseling. I also provide therapy from a Christian based perspective if that is something you would like incorporated into your therapy.

I have found that people want their pains and hurt to be validated through compassion and connection. It is my goal to provide a safe, non-judgmental, and therapeutic space to support you on your journey of mental wellness.
