Michelle McMillan, LPC

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).  I received my bachelors of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies at The University of Texas in Arlington (UTA) and my Master of Science with a major in Counseling and Development from Texas Woman’s University (TWU). 

 

For the last 2 years I have facilitated an adult (ages 18-60) PHP/IOP program which included group therapy, Individual and family therapy.  Privately I have provided play therapy for kids (ages 3-12).  My theoretical approach includes: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Child Centered Play Therapy and Person-Centered. 

 

My specialties include:  children, adults, families, depression, anxiety, mood disorders, grief and loss, relationship issues, self-esteem, stress, communication issues, anger management, post-traumatic stress, divorce/blended families, parent/child relationships, women’s issues and personal growth.

 

My goal is to be by your side on your journey to healing.  By providing encouragement, motivation and validation. I aim to provide an empathetic and compassionate space to meet each client where they are at.  I believe you have the answers and I am here to guide you towards them. I specialize in Play therapy, relationship issues, self-esteem, parenting, stress, anxiety, bipolar, anger management, family conflict, boundaries, peer relationships, self-harming and woman's issues.
